We stayed at an art hotel in a quiet area just steps from Via Roma bus stops to the central train station, with a great breakfast and super helpful staff. The port and seaside were easy to reach on foot, and we took a nice walk to the cathedral and royal palace through the old town’s small streets. We also tried the bus to Monreale Cathedral, which was easy to catch early in the morning after buying tickets beforehand, and took trains to Cefalu, skipping tours to explore on our own.
