Spacious bedrooms had good quality mattresses and pillows with an espresso coffee machine in the kitchen. The apartment was colorful, full of books about Sicily and Italy, original newspapers from 1966, and real jazz and classical records. Federico and his wife were extremely responsive, Federico took a child to the doctor when needed. The neighborhood was quiet with a 24-hour supermarket, several non-touristy cafés and restaurants nearby, about 1 km from the historic center. Parking was sometimes available next to the house in the evening but not during the day.
